Home sales declined 7.3 percent in the Roanoke Valley in March compared with the same month a year ago. The Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors said 2,225 homes were for sale at the end of March. On average, buyers paid 4.01 percent less than the listed price, and properties spent 104 days on the market. The most expensive house listed for $599,950 and sold for $560,000 after 40 days. The least expensive listed for $22,000 and sold for $15,000 after 402 days.
