MUSICAL EVENTS

Youth Fest '97, sponsored by the Church of God of Prophecy, will be held at the Roanoke Civic Center Exhibition Hall beginning Friday at 7:30 p.m. It will feature an award-winning group, Common Bond. Youth ministry workshops will be offered Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Bishop Fred Fisher Sr., state overseer of the Churches of God of Prophecy in Virginia, will be the guest speaker. Admission is free, but an offering will be taken.

The Singing Servants will perform gospel music at Red Hill Baptist Church, 6251 Franklin Road, on Sunday at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The Choir of St. Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey, combined with Thomas Trotter, organist, will be in concert Sunday at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church, 402 Second St. S.W., at 4 p.m.

SPECIAL EVENTS

St. John Lutheran Church Men's Club, 4608 Brambleton Ave. S.W., will sponsor a pancake supper April 10 in the fellowship hall at 5:30 p.m. Michael Brown and the Living Free Choir will perform at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. Proceeds will benefit The Living Free Program for drug-abuse prevention and rehabilitation of addicts. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under, and are available through the church office, 774-0712.

Oak Grove Church of the Brethren, 2138 McVitty Road S.W., will hold a series of noon Bible studies April 10, 17 and 24. The Rev. Ed Woodard will lead the study of 1 Corinthians.

A spring attic and bake sale will be sponsored by Calvary United Methodist Church, 845 Hemlock Road, on Saturday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Breakfast biscuits and hot dogs will be served.

Grace Church Spring Bible Conference, 2731 Edgewood St. S.W., will be held April 11-13 with Don A. Carson, author and professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, leading this year's theme: "God Speaks to a Declining Culture." Sessions will be held April 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. and April 13 at 9 and 10:45 a.m. For more information, call 982-0105.

NEW ORGANIZATIONS

The Roanoke Valley Christian Outdoorsmen has been established for Christian men who enjoy outdoor activities. Meetings will be held on the first Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. at Maranatha Fellowship Church of God, 2715 Green Ridge Road. For more information, call 562-0075.
