The Virginia Tech Department of Physics together with the Blacksburg Department of Parks and Recreation will set up telescopes tonight at Kipps Elementary School to give the public a view of the Hale-Bopp comet.
The university's telescopes will be available from 7:30-10 p.m. at the school on Prices Fork Road.
Virginia Tech astronomers, including physics professors John Simonetti, John Broderick, and Brian Dennison and some students specializing in astronomy, will be on hand to describe what is being seen and answer questions.
