McMILLAN Christopher Michael, 15, of Troutville, went to be with his Savior on Friday, April 4, 1997, from a Roanoke hospital. He was a member of the Botetourt Church of Christ, where he was active with the Church Youth Groups. He was a student at Lord Botetourt High School, where he played for the JV Soccer Team, and was a member of the Junior League at Botetourt Country Club. Christopher is survived by his parents, Linda and Denny McMillan, and one brother, Matthew McMillan, all of Troutville; his grandparents, Larry and JoAnne McMillan of Richmond, Dorothy Kazee of Richmond, and Paris Jr. and Ruth Kazee of Fredericksburg, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 1997, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Daleville. The officiating ministers will be Ray C. Murphy and Jonge Tate. MORGAN, William A., (``Bill""), 80, of Marion, died Friday, April 4, 1997 at his home in Marion, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Creasey Morgan, three sisters and one brother. Mr. Morgan was owner and operator of the Summitt Drive-In Theater in Glade Spring, Va. for thirty-five years and also operated the Summitt Auto Action. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Jean Morgan of Marion, Va.; one grandson, Alan Morgan and wife, Tracy, of Marion, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Corey and Courtney Morgan; a very special friend, Emma Jo Terry of Chilhowie, Va. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 6, 1997, at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Aker officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 7, 1997, at 11 a.m. in Laurel Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. or anytime at his home in Marion, Va. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

PHOENIX, George W., (``Buster""), 52, of Shawsville, died Friday, April 4, 1997 in a Maryland hospital. He had worked in construction for many years and was preceded in death by his parents, William Eugene and Goldie Mae Phoenix, a sister, Donna Gay Black and survivors include his wife, Evelyn ``Sharon"" Phoenix; a s on, Roy William Phoenix; daughter, Sharon Rebecca Compton, both of Shawsville; several sisters and brothers; and many close friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 1997 at 2 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Chapel, Salem, with the Rev. Thomas Oliphant and the Rev. Jack Horne officiating. Burial will follow in the Phoenix Family Cemetery in Shawsville. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of Raymond and Shirley Horne, 1006 West Riverside Dr., Lot 1, Salem, Va.

PRUITT, Enice Dollinger, 85, of Marion, died Friday, April 4, 1997. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at Falling Water Baptist Church. Arrangements by Barnett's Funeral Home, Marion.

RHINEHART, Jewell Writtenberry, 57, of Roanoke Co., died Friday, April 4, 1997 a t her home. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven L. Rhinehart. She was a native of Driver, Va. and resided in Portsmouth and Norfolk before moving to Roanoke. Prior to becoming disabled, as a result of MS, she was an active volunteer for several organizations in the area, including what is now known as the Bradley Free Clinic. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, Donald W. Rhinehart; son, Stuart W. Rhinehart, Roanoke Co.; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy R. and Dr. Stephen Tigani, Bethesda, Md.; grandchildren, Elise Tigani and Stephen Tigani, Jr. Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. William E. Kinser and the Rev. Robin Henrickson officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Cave Spring Rescue Squad or the Blue Ridge Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel.

SANDERS, John Henry, 69, of Kimballton, died Friday, April 4, 1997. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday, Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke.

SCHUG, Linette Gleason, 59, of Blacksburg, died Friday, April 4, 1997, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in St. Charles, Ill., on September 12, 1937, to the late Albert and Alberta Stowell Gleason. She was a long-time, well-known horse woman who loved nothing more than fox hunting. She was instrumental in the development and leadership of the 4-H Horse Club and the Pony Club of Blacksburg. She was active in many area horse associations as well as the Rockbridge Hunt Club. She is survived by her husband, John Schug of Blacksburg; two daughters and a son-in-law, Carolyn and Brian Barker of Centerville and Deborah Schug of Falls Church; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven and Dana Schug of Taney Town, Md., and Kevin Schug of Blacksburg; a sister, Joan Crawford of St. Charles, Ill.; a brother, Roger Gleason of Wheaton, Ill., and three grandchildren, Christopher, Derek and Bradley Schug. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Father Donald L. LeMay officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday evening, with a vigil service held at 7 p.m., at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. SHUMATE, Arlis, (``Sonny""), 67, of Hillsville, passed away Friday, April 4, 1997. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 1997 at Hillsville First Baptist Church. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, Virginia.

WICKLINE, James Andrew, 73, of 39 Haverline Hill, Collinsville, passed away Saturday, April 5, 1997 in Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Born March 8, 1924 in Buchanan (Botetourt, Co.), Va., he was the son of James Thomas Wickline, Jr., who preceded him in death and Mary Miller Wickline. He was owner and operator of Wickline Drugs from 1950 to 1981 and also worked at the Rite Aid Corporation. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Wickline was a member of the Virginia Pharmaceutical Association, BPO Elks #1752 and Collinsville Lions Club and former Charter Member of the Collinsville Recreation Center. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kathryn S. Wickline, of the home; three sons, Jeffrey Allan Wickline and Michael Andrew Wickline, both of Collinsville, Kenneth Jackson Wickline, Snow Creek; one sister, Nancy St. Clair, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Jessica Alyse Wickline, Grant Alan Wickline, Macy Jordon Wickline, McKenzi Rae Wickline, and Alison McKal Wickline. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 7, 1997, at Stone Memorial Christian Church, with Minister Lawrence Harris and Dr. Calvin Raines officiating. Entombment, with military honors performed by Martinsville and Henry County Veterans Honor Guard, in Roselawn Abbey. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Stone Memorial Christian Church and other times at the home.
