Tech (16-20) won the first game 4-2 after second baseman Christine Trunnell made a diving grab to start a double play and kill and St. Bonaventure rally in the seventh. St. Bonaventure broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning of the first game to win 2-1. Michelle Meadows homered for Tech's only run.

Ferrum finishes third: Ferrum beat Lynchburg 16-6 to finish third in the Ferrum Softball Invitational. Tracy Cummings (Alleghany) led Ferrum (13-18) with two hits, including a double, and two RBI.
