SO?!!

Bloopy, a cartoon character who encourages kids to have healthy habits and who has his own show on public television, is coming to Roanoke.

Bloopy, star of "Bloopy's Buddies," broadcast in Roanoke Saturdays at 8:30 a.m., on public television, and his pal Jumpin' Jack are coming to Tanglewood Mall on April 26 from 10 a.m. until noon.

The pair will show you how to "Bloopycise," and there also will be story-telling and other activities. Along with Bloopy's appearance, Blue Ridge Public Television is sponsoring a "Have a Healthy Happy Day Poster Contest."

All you have to do is submit a drawing of one of your healthy happy days and send it to: Bloopy Poster Contest, Blue Ridge Public Television, P.O. Box 13246, Roanoke Va. 24032. Include your name, address and age and enter by the April 15 deadline. Posters will be displayed at the mall on April 26 and prizes will be awarded. All who enter will receive a thank you certificate from Bloopy.
