A Christiansburg man was in stable condition Monday after suffering multiple injuries Saturday when a tractor rolled on top of him.
Larry Brown, 53, was working in a field near L.I.F.E. Bible College about 3:30 p.m. when the accident occurred, according to a Montgomery County Sheriff's Office press release. Brown was apparently clearing land at the end of Lubna Street, the Sheriff's Office said.
The Lifeguard 10 rescue helicopter flew Brown to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he was treated in the neuro-trauma intensive care unit. By Monday he was in a private room and his condition had been upgraded to stable.
Chief Deputy Neal Turner said the investigation of the accident is ongoing and no further details were available Monday.
