ENTRIES SOUGHT FOR SHORT STORY CONTEST

Previously unpublished stories of up to 6,000 words will compete for $345 in cash prizes in the 21st annual Sherwood Anderson Short Story Contest.

The contest is open to anyone except professionals who earn more than half of their income from writing, and teachers of creative writing at the college level. Creative-writing teachers at elementary, middle or high school levels are eligible to enter a story.

Entries are limited to one per person. Contestants must be residents or natives of Southwest Virginia or adjoining areas of bordering states.

Entries should be mailed to Sherwood Anderson Short Story Contest, P.O. Box 1161, Marion, Va. 24354, by the end of May.
