TENN. WOMAN KILLED IN I-81 CRASH

The minivan driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially thrown from the vehicle, police said.

A 67-year-old Tennessee woman was killed Wednesday in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 81 in Pulaski County.

Alice Marie Wilson of Bluff City, Tenn., was headed south near the Draper exit about 3 p.m. when her minivan ran off the right side of the road, state Trooper J.A. Jones said. He said her tires hit gravel and she overcorrected. The van veered to the left and hit a guardrail, bounced back onto the pavement and into the median, where she hit an embankment and was partially ejected.

She was not wearing a seat belt, Jones said.
