Six bankruptcies with business affiliations have been filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Western Virginia at Roanoke. Three of them are personal bankruptcies that the court listed as businesses because they have commercial connections and could be of interest to business creditors and customers.
Skyline Ford Ltd. of Floyd filed for reorganization and protection from creditors. The company did not estimate assets but said its liabilities exceed $50,000.
Buck Simmons & Associates Co. Inc. of South Jefferson Street in Roanoke filed for reorganization and protection from creditors. The company manufactures and installs funeral vaults. It said its assets are less than $50,000 and its liabilities exceed $50,000.
Bryan Cassius Walsh of Christiansburg, who does business as Moonlight Solar, filed for liquidation with assets of $78,980 and liabilities of $167,283.
Charles Kyle Whitescarver III of Christiansburg filed for liquidation with assets of $53,380 and liabilities of $220,388. Whitescarver owns and operates Main Street Pubs Inc. in Radford.
Russell M. Burleson and Pamela L. Burleson of Radford filed for liquidation with assets of $5,034 and liabilities of $41,383. Russell Burleson does business as Hi-Tech Flooring.
Julie Lynn Collins of Blue Ridge, a self-employed house cleaner, filed for liquidation with assets of $1,630 and liabilities of $9,695.
