The Southern Christian Leadership Conference joined with the NAACP in calling for the resignation of Virginia Gov. George Allen after Allen proclaimed April as Confederate History and Heritage Month. A story Friday did not report the SCLC's involvement. The affiliation of the Rev. Curtis Harris of the SCLC was also incorrect in an accompanying photo caption Friday.

An April 5 story on the premiere of Ollie North's talk show on a Roanoke radio station incorrectly identified the charges filed against North in the wake of the Iran-Contra controversy. North was accused of illegally shredding documents, aiding in the obstruction of Congress and accepting an illegal gratuity.
