Roanoke bowler Tim Lisk attains perfection at the bowling lanes for third time in the past 37 months.
Roanoke bowler Tim Lisk closed out the Major Scratch league season in style Monday night, rolling a 300 game at AMF Hilltop Lanes. The 300 game was the third perfect game in the past 37 months for the 41-year-old Roanoke County policemen.
``I rolled my first game on March 16, 1994 ... I remember it because it was right before St.Patrick's Day,'' Lisk said. ``The second one came on March 29, 1995. But no matter how many you roll, you still feel nervous when you get close.''
Lisk said other members of his Bowling News team weren't about to mention the perfect game until it was over.
``No one mentioned it and I noticed that the bowlers next to me stopped to watch,'' Lisk said of the final frame. ``Normally someone is there all the time. I wasn't about to look at the people behind me because that would only have made me more nervous than I already was.''
The perfect game was the first of a 706 (300-186-220) series.
