Blue Ridge Investors, LP, of Greensboro, N.C., which recently bought Dragon Corp. of Roanoke, said Monday it has acquired Cherokee Wireless Services Inc. of Cornelia, Ga. Cherokee, which provides tower construction and maintenance services for the wireless telecommunications industry, has six branch offices in the Southeast, including one in Waynesboro.
Hercules Aerospace Co. of Radford has won a $63,893 contract from the Army in Rock Island, Ill., for support services to military family housing. Electro-Tec Corp. of Blacksburg has won a $99,022 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, for aircraft components.
