BISHOP, George Cleveland, 84, of Willis, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 1997, at his home. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Simmons Bishop, Willis; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Stephania Bishop, Floyd, Allen and Barbara Bishop, Willis; daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby Moles, Willis, Jo Ann and Donnie Hatcher, Floyd, Joyce and Ronnie Lester, Alum Ridge; one sister, Ethel Tolbert, Maryland; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgrandch ildren; one stepgreat-grandchild. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Burial will be in Greasy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

BURNS, Stanley Crawford, 84, of Staunton, died Tuesday, April 15, 1997. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday in the Loving Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

CRANCE, Claric e S., 89, formerly of 7 Vista Ave., Lynchburg, died Monday, April 14, 1997, in Bedford. She was the widow of Frank Marion Crance Sr. Born in Hinton, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Nelson Shanklin Seldomridge and Lura Hudson Seldomridge. Mrs. Crance was a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church, Lynchburg. She is survived by two sons, Frank M. Crance Jr. of Riverside, Calif. and Nelson L. Crance of Grand Cayman Island, B.W.I.; one daughter, Mrs. Floyd T. (Mariam) Ferguson of Smith Mountain (Wirtz); three brothers, E. I. Seldomridge of Lynchburg, L. N. Seldomridge of Huntington, W.Va., Billy Joe Seldomridge of Hinton, W.Va.; one sister, Mrs. James E. Shelton of Charlottesville; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Mausoleum Chapel of Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg, with Dr. Riley Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wed.) at Whitten Park Ave. Chapel, 1336 Park Ave., Lynchburg, and at other times at #7 Vista Ave., Lynchburg. DICKERSON, James Alexander, (``Pete""), 49, of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 1997. He was born in Roanoke County, and was employed by Thomas Brothers Construction Company. ``Pete"" was preceded in death by his father, James E. Dickerson; his grandparents, Mrs. Ora Dickerson, and Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Finney, and one uncle, Alexander Finney. Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Y. Dickerson; one brother, Samuel E. Dickerson; sister-in-law, Emma Dickerson; two aunts, Cleo Finney and Eileen Reynolds; two devoted nephews, Timothy Claytor and Samuel E. Dickerson Jr.; one great-nephew, and two devoted cousins, Roberta Turner and Cordelia Hale, all of Roanoke, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Slate Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Preston officiating. Interment will be in the Slate Hill Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.

EADES, Katherine Mae, 69, of Pulaski, died Monday, April 14, 1997. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday, Stevens Funeral Chapel.

FELLERS, Louise Harris, a lifelong resident of Roanoke, and widow of the late Judge Stanford L. Fellers, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 1997, after a brief illness. Mrs. Fellers was the daughter of the late James M . and Laura Jeter Harris of Roanoke. She was educated at St. Mary's College in Raleigh, N.C., was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roanoke for over 90 years, was an active member for many years of the former Greenwood Road Garden Club, and was a member of the Margaret Lynn Lewis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Fellers was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene J. Harris, Frederick Bonsack Harris (twin), and J. Meade Harris, all of Roanoke. Surviving are a son, S. L. Fellers Jr., Roanoke; a daughter, Catherine H. Fellers, Roanoke; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Evergreen Burial Park at 3 p.m. on Thursday. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

FRANCE, John William, 92, of Martinsville, died Sunday, April 13, 1997. Graveside services noon Thursday, Mt. Olive East Christian Church. Arrangements by Stanfield-Miller Funeral Home.

FRAZIER, Helen Weaver Rosen, 95, of Troutdale, died Monday, April 14, 1997 in the Valley Health Care Center, Chilhowie. She was a native of Troutdale and a former resident of Marion. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Marion, and a member of the United Methodist Women and the D.A.R. Survivors include one son, Fred Rosen, Arroyo Grande, Calif.; one daughter, Miriam Korshak, Houston, Texas; one grandson, Tom Rosen, Woodbridge; one close cousin, Harry Pugh, C hilhowie. Graveside services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Troutdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Jane Myrick and the Rev. Terry D. Goodman officiating. LLOYD, Mark Richards III, 64, of Christiansburg, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, in a Roanoke hospital. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Richardson-Horne Chapel with burial in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Lung Association or Unity of Roanoke Valley. Arrangements by Richardson-Horne in Christiansburg.

McCALL, Lucile Buchanan, 86, of 18287 Monroe Rd., Meadowview, died Tuesday, April 15, 1997 at her residence. She was a life-long resident of Washington County, Va. and was the widow of John A. McCall, Sr. She was a member of Rock Spring Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Alberta Copenhaver, Meadowview, and Betty Johnson, Abingdon; eight sons, John A. McCall, Jr., Jim McCall, Bill McCall, Eddie McCall, Tom McCall, Sam McCall, all of Meadowview, David McCall, Abingdon and Steve McCall, Glade Spring; two sisters, Vivian McCall, Abingdon, Ilene Mock, Meadowview; 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday in the Rock Spring Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Robert Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial ark. Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Martin F. Monahan, Dr. Emory H. Robinette, Dr. Adam Steinberg, Dr. John H. Lobban and Coy Stanley. Mrs. McCall was also survived by six daughters-in-law, Lena McCall, Sharon McCall, Brenda McCall, Rose McCall, Patty McCall and Betty Gayle McCall; two sons-in-las, Ernest Copenhaver and Robert G. McDANIEL, Joe Wayne, 48, of Elliston, died Sunday, April 13, 1997. He is survived by his mother, Annie Harris McDaniel, Narrows; one sister, Hazel Martin, Narrows; one brother, Gene McDaniel, Colorado Springs, Col.; one special friend, Barry Taylor, Elliston; also nieces and nephews. MEDLEY, Loretta K., 61, of Huron, Ohio, formerly of Charlottesville, Va., passed away Sunday, April 13, 1997. She was born on May 2, 1935 in Narrows, Va. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Franklin D. (Diana) Fielder of Charlotte, N.C. and Judi Medley of Sandusky, Ohio; one son, David Medley of Earlysville, Va.; three grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Chuck (Ruby) Massey of St. Petersburg, Fla., Margaret Burwell of Rich Creek, Va., Mrs. Alta Ellison and Mrs. Prince (Maggie) Perdue, both of Sandusky, Ohio; one brother, Thurman Fleeman of Narrows, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be on Wednesday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity. The Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. MINNIX, Imogene M., 69, of Roanoke County, passed away Monday, April 14, 1997. She was a retired employee of American Viscose. Mrs. Minnix is survived by her husband, Woodrow D. Minnix; her daughter, Linda Minnix, Roanoke; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Becky Minnix, Boones Mill; her grandsons, Joshua Andrew Minnix and Jared Evan Minnix; her granddaughter, Sarah Anne Minnix; also surviving are one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at Lotz Roanoke Chapel, 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 1997, with the Rev. Fred Devan officiating. Interment in Franklin Memorial Park. MULLINS, Allen James, (``Zeke''), 70, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 15 , 1997. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Lucas H. Mullins; one daughter and son-in-law, Doretha and Fred Holley, all of Roanoke; four sisters, Ida Robertson, Eva Crouch, both of Eden, N.C., Minnie Hodges of Stokesdale, N.C., Pearl Merriman of Fieldale; grandchildren, Sara and Jeff Kennedy, Michael and Robin Hatcher, Melissa Welch and Douglas Hatcher; great-grandchildren, Thomas Kennedy, Joshua Hatcher, Michael and Kristina Welsh; six sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; a favorite niece and husband, Eunice and Nelson Austin; and a special hospice nurse, Larry Jones. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 1997 at the Rader Daleville Chapel with the Rev. Don McCaskill and Rev. Dargen Lucas officiating. PACK, Arlene Elizabeth, 71, of Lexington, died Monday, April 14, 1997 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington. Mrs. Pack was born in Rockbridge County on February 14, 1926 and was a daughter of Sadie Gaylor Johnson, Buena Vista and the late Andrew Johnson. She was the widow of Everett R. Pack. In addition to her mother, Mrs. pack is survived by one daughter, Brenda Pack, Lexington; one son and daughter-in-law, Emery and Emily Pack, Lancaster, CA; two brothers, Sonny Johnson, Richmond, Ralph Johnson, Mulvane, Kansas; four sisters, Betty Smith, Lee Ayers, both of Lexington, Nancy Miller, Buena Vista, LaDonna Pack, Mulvane, Kansas; and one grandson, Matt Stresak, Lancaster, CA. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 1997, in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens, Lexington, with the Rev. Robert Leonard officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, the S.P.C.A. or the Lexington Lifesaving and First Aid Crew. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. PILOTTO, Harold Anthony III, (``Bud''), 16, of Lexington, died Monday, April 14, 1997, at his residence. Mr. Pilotto was born in Ft. Riley, Kan. on June 20, 1980, and was a son of Harold Anthony P ilotto Jr. and Darlene Dubey Pilotto of Lexington. He was a student, a member of the Junior ROTC, South Granville High School, Creedmoor, N.C., a member of the Revolutionary Reenactment 84th Highlanders from North Carolina, and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church Youth Group. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Anthony David Pilotto, Fayetteville, N.C.; one sister, Angela T. Pilotto, Boone, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 1997, from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Frederick Ellsworth officiating.
