Two new drop boxes will allow Roanoke residents to pay city bills at any time - day or night.
With personal property tax season approaching, the city treasurer's office has put a drop box adjacent to the city Parks and Recreation Department's driveway at 210 Reserve Ave. A second box has been put at the city's satellite office at the DMV office at Crossroads Mall.
A drop box has been outside the Municipal Building on Church Avenue since March 1995.
"These boxes are not just for personal property tax payments," city Treasurer David Anderson said. "Citizens can save a stamp and pay their water bills, dog tag payments, parking ticket fines, real estate taxes or any other payment due to the city."
