          Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch. Day-care centers 
          and educators from across the New River Valley will host the event 
          from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Virginia Tech to conclude the 
          Week of the Young Child. The free event is sponsored by the New 
          River Valley and Virginia Tech Associations for the Education of 
          Young Children. color.
