BOHON, Boyd Tayloe, 94, of Roanoke, died Thursday, April 17, 1997. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Herbert Tayloe, Claude (``C. B.'') Bohon; and a son, Herbert Tayloe Jr. Mrs. Bohon was a retired Registered Nurse at Turner Clinic, Poages Mill, and a member of Penn Forest Christian Church. There are several nieces and nephews, including Jackie Jones, Pat Price and Bill Garner, all of Roanoke, Trina Murray, Salem. COOK, Arlene Dodd Bragg, 83, of Rocky Mount, passed away Thursday, April 17, 1997. A native of Rocky Mount and an area resident for many years, she was retired from Camelot Nursing Home after 22 years of service. Mrs. Cook was a member of Salem Wesleyan Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Cook; and sons, Richard, Jimmy, Raymond, Donnie, Nick Bragg. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Linda Bragg, Boones Mill, Delmar Ray Cook, Roanoke, Florence Bragg of New Jersey; daughters and sons-in-law, Vthalee and Fred Lilly of McArthur, W.Va., Ruth and Howell Day of Piscataway, N.J., Carol and Donnie Quarles of Roanoke, Sue and Johnny Arrington of Rocky Mount; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Knapp, Florida, Evelyn Coppala, New Jersey, Verona Heaster, Ohio, Geraldine Odell of West Virginia; many nieces and nephews. Johnson of Rural Hall, N.C., and Louisa D. JAMISON, Nannie Kate Cobler, 95, of Route 2, Box 402, Martinsville, died Friday, April 18, 1997, in Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Born on August 28, 1901, in Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late John Edward Cobler and Mollie Merriman Cobler. She was a longtime member and the oldest member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where she also was a member of the Ella Craig Bible Class and a charter member of the Methodist Womens Group. She was presented a Life Membership pin of the Womens Group in 1968. Mrs. Jamison was a charter member of Pleasant Grove Homemakers Club and the Community Improvement Club. She also was a longtime member of the Snow Creek Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Jamison, on January 16, 1958; by a son, James Lewis Jamison, on August 28, 1944; by a brother, Willie S. Cobler, and by three grandsons, John Jamison, on October 21, 1994, Robert Jamison, on January 6, 1995, and Baby Jamison. Mrs. Jamison is survived by four sons, John Pete Jamison, Robert Edgar Jamison, Ray Cobler Jamison and David Randolph Jamison, all of Martinsville; a brother, Abraham L. Cobler of Martinsville; a sister, Mrs. Clara C. Gryzt of Martinsville; nine grandchildren, Sandra Pulliam, Sheila Jamison, Jimmy Jamison, Vanessa Riddle, David Jamison, Lisa Holcomb, Pamela Jamison, Jeannie Carpenter and Lynn Grindstaff, and nine great-grandchildren, Blake Holcomb, Beth Holcomb, Rebecca Carpenter, Jamie Jamison, Julie Jamison, Josey Jamison, Kati Grindstaff, Katelyn Riddle and Kyle Grindstaff. Funeral services for Mrs. Jamison will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 1997, at Norris Funeral Services Chapel by the Rev. Steve Propst. MEADOWS, Anthony Eugene, (``Tool''), 34, of Glen Lyn, died Thursday, April 17, 1997. He was born in Princeton, W.Va. on June 11, 1962, and was the son of Dewey Eugene and Shirley Ann Akers Meadows of Narrows. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Onnie and Nancy Meadows; and his stepgrandmother, Marie Meadows; his paternal grandfather, Earl Akers. In addition to his parents he is survived by a son, Steven Anthony Meadows of Glen Lyn; a brother, Danny Joe Meadows, Glen Lyn; four sisters and their husbands, Karen and Jeff Blankenship, Glen Lyn, Nancy and James Simpkins, Teresa and Mike Perdue, both of Narrows, Chasity and Warren Wilson of Rich Creek; his maternal grandmother, Pearl Akers of Princeton, W.Va. SANFORD, Patty Dyer, 93, of Farmville, died Friday, April 18, 1997. She was born October 9, 1903 in Wythe County. She was the daughter of the late Burton Sanders Dyer and Arminta Allison Dyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Brooker Sanford. She was a member of the Farmville United Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Longwood Garden Club. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Fred Hall of Wolfeboro, N.H. and Patsy and Noble Moore of Blacksburg; six grandchildren, Fred S. Hall of Hurst, Texas, Allison Hart of Irvine, Calif., Joanne Moe of Springfield, Kimberly Brawn of Newtown, Pa., Leland Moore of Blacksburg, and Mary Mason of Maurertown; and ten great-grandchildren. He was born Januar y 6, 1916 in Bedford County, a son of the late Escar T. Saunders and Julie Frances Miller Saunders. He was a retired employee of Rubatex, and was also a retired farmer. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of the Staunton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie Pearl Martin Saunders. He is survived by a son, Kenneth Saunders, Lynchburg; two daughters, Betty S. Ashwell, Huddleston, Patsy S. Robertson, Moneta, and formerly of Lynchburg; a stepson, James Monroe Brown, Bedford; a sister, Bertie Trent, Lynchburg; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Mr. Southers was born on November 28, 1933 in Rockbridge County, and was a son of Sadie Mae Chittum Southers, Lexington, and the late Lloyd Love Southers. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Lexington, and the owner and operator of the Southers Salvage Yard. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jane Tyree Southers, Lexington; two sons and two daughters, James (Jimmy) Lloyd Southers Jr., Doris Jane (Sissy) Stevenson, both of Lexington, Fredrick William Southers, Richmond, Norma Jean Southers, Buena Vista; four sisters, Mattie Mae Lionberger, Glasgow, Marie Hostetter, Lexington, Shirley Clark, Vesuvius, Carolyn Austin, Buena Vista; four brothers, G. H. Fonzy Southers, David Andrew Southers, Paul Joseph Southers, John Timothy Southers, all of Richmond; and seven grandchildren.
