The time has come. For coeducation at VMI? Nah, that's old hat, even if it hasn't actually happened yet. No, what we really need now to is a sequel to "Brother Rat" - only this time taking into account the arrival of women in the barracks.
What we need is "Sister Rat." And you're going to write it.
Not the whole thing, of course. Just a plot line. And you'll get to cast the show, too.
We'll get a panel of film critics to review the entries, and pick a winner. First prize: Naturally, we'll also publish a sampling of the runners-up.
Here's how to enter:
1. Summarize your plot in 75 words or less. All we ask is that you keep it clean. And that your plots includes these characters: the VMI superintendent, a female rat, a male rat, and at least one upper-class cadet, either male or female. Beyond that, feel free to take whatever artistic license you wish. It can be a drama, comedy, film noir, it's up to you.
2. Tell us which Hollywood actors and actresses you'd cast as the main characters. And why.
3. Send your entry by May 6 to:

Hey, this is just for fun. If you really want to make a movie, go talk to Mr. Spielberg.
