NAMES ON CAMPUS

The following area students recently received advanced degrees from Virginia Tech:

Blacksburg resident Jason L. Christian earned a master's degree in computer science. He now works as a network engineer. He is the son of Deborah L. Christian of Blacksburg.

Jennifer P. Dodd earned a master's degree in environmental science and engineering. She and her husband, Robert Dodd, live in Blacksburg.

Glenn Skutt received a doctoral degree in electrical engineering. He is a senior engineer with Virginia Power Technologies of Blacksburg.

Jeff D. Laster of Radford earned a doctoral degree in electrical engineering. He is a research scientist working on wireless communications with the Center for Transportation Research at Virginia Tech. He and his wife, Grace, live in Radford.

Vicki Ostrander of Narrows received a master's degree in food science and technology. She is now an associate food scientist with Perdue Farm Inc. of Bridgewater. She is doing new product development with the retail research and development department. She is the daughter of Jack and Becky Ostrander of Narrows.

Brad Dulaney of Shawsville is one of 19 Emory & Henry College students to be named to the 1997 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Dulaney is a senior who is an active member of Kerygma, Campus Christian Fellowship and Covenant Discipleship for Earth's Sake. He also has worked as a youth leader and choir director at Emory United Methodist Church. He has been a featured soloist with the Concert and Oratorio Choirs and has participated in Opera Workshop. Dulaney is also a Creed Fulton Scholar and a member of the Blue Key honor fraternity. He is the son of Kathy and Haden Dulaney.

Christopher R. Donald recently was selected to join two honor societies at the College of William and Mary. Donald was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta National Academic Honor Society for Freshmen and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Donald graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1996. He is the son of Darla and Wayne Donald of Blacksburg.
