Dynax America Corp. plant in Botetourt County on Friday. The
contractor said it was easier to use a helicopter than a traditional
crane because of the size of the 150,000-square-foot factory. The
auto parts maker is scheduled to move into the building in June and
to begin production in March 1998. The plant will make wet friction
clutch plates for transmissions. The company plans to hire 50
employees by the end of this year and 300 workers by 2000.
