KEITH HATHAWAY: COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR

{LEAD} Keith Hathaway gets an extra sense of pleasure when he takes his daughter, Tamara, to Kids Cove playground at Mount Trashmore. He was one of the core committee members who shepherded the massive community project through to completion last year. Now that the playground just celebrated its one year anniversary, he said he's always ready to get involved in projects that help kids.

``Anything to do with children, I'm willing to help out,'' said Hathaway, a local commercial contractor. ``It may not be so much hands on help, but a lot of people think I'm good at fund-raising.'' Maybe that's because he's not shy about getting on the phone and asking for donations. ``A lot of times people will give up the money if you make the phone call,'' he said.

{REST} Most recently, he has been working with his club - Lynnhaven Kiwanis - that aims most of its fund-raising toward helping youngsters. ``Most of the things we do in Kiwanis are for children,'' he added.
