Mrs. Bennett was born in Baltimore and was the widow of Cato G. Bennett. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Norfolk, and the Senior Citizen Club.
{REST} Survivors include one daughter, George Carol Anjal, and two sons, Cato G. Bennett Jr. and Keith W. Bennett, all of Norfolk; one sister, Cecelia H. Howard of Baltimore; six grandchildren, Mark D. Bennett, Mary V. Mandell, Donald E. Anjal III, Anthony B. Bennett, Ashley M. Anjal, Heather L. Anjal; great-grandson, Alec S. Anjal; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Pius Catholic Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
