ROBERT L. BAILEY SR.

{LEAD} Mr. Robert Lee Bailey Sr., 72, of the 7700 block of Ruthven Road, a retired bus driver, died May 30, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Bailey was born in Huntington, W.Va. He had retired from TRT after 30 years. He was the widower of Gwendolyn C. Bailey and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was active in working with the Virginia Association of the Blind in bowling and bingo activities. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

{REST} Survivors include a son, Robert L. Bailey Jr. of Norfolk; his mother, Jesse Hodges of Huntington, W.Va.; and a sister, Dorcos Owens of Huntington, W.Va.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Bishop Dickerson. The family will receive friends in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, Thursday night from 7 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation.
