Mrs. Odom was born in Craven County, N.C. She was employed with Bob & Sally's Restaurant for 30 years. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She was member and vice president of Usher Board 2 and member of Willing Workers Club and Nurses Unit. She was president of the Floral Committee and member of A.S. Hoard Steering Committee, Choral Ensemble, Senior Choir, Missionary and Tidewater Usher Association.
{REST} Survivors include her husband, Joseph J. Odom; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Odom of Philadelphia; a brother, George Davis of Mississippi; a goddaughter, TaWanda Downs of Portsmouth; and two uncles, Nathan Davis and Sampson Davis, both of Craven County, N.C.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. W.S. Hampton. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Friday in Corprew Funeral Home. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
