A toolbox and tools valued at $800 and a Craftsman compressor valued at $400 were taken from an outside storage shed.
Residential Breaking and Entering: 6100 block College Drive, May 20, a woman reported that someone kicked in her front door. Missing are a photograph and a 1980 Chevrolet pickup.
Arson: 6200 block Skeet Road, May 22, someone started a fire at the front and rear doors of a home.
Grand Larceny: 2800 block South nansemond Drive, May 24, someone took a woman's heart-shaped ruby ring valued at $5,000 and a diamond solitaire ring valued at $1,000.

Possession of Concealed Weapon: Factory Street and Madison Avenue, May 19, police found a .25-caliber pistol and a folding, 4 1/2-inch knife during a search.
Vandalism: 600 block County Street, May 20, a woman reported that someone threw two bricks at her 1985 Plymouth.
Vandalism: 600 block Cummings Drive, May 20, someone broke a right side window of a vehicle. Damage was estimated at $90.
Residential Breaking and Entering: 300 block Hill Street, May 20, someone entered a home and took a Sanyo 20-inch color TV.
Petty Larceny: 100 block Beech Street, May 20, someone broke a vehicle window and removed four boxes of doughnuts valued at $10.
Throwing Missiles at an Occupied Vehicle: Hollywood Avenue and Center Avenue, May 21, a man reported that he heard something strike his vehicle while driving past a group of about 10 male suspects. When he got out to check for damage one of the suspects struck him in the face. When the complainant fled down Ben Street, one of the suspects put his vehicle in gear, and it struck a ditch.
Grand Larceny: 2500 block East Washington Street, May 21, someone broke a car vent window and removed an AM/FM cassette stereo valued at $225. Damage was estimated at $100.
Grand Larceny: 100 block Halifax Street, May 21, someone entered a vehicle and took an inspection sticker, a blue and green bag containing cassettes valued at $1,000, a Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette stereo valued at $600, a Realistic Optimus equalizer valued at $39 and a Realistic Equalizer valued at $39.
Residential Breaking and Entering: 200 block Pinner Street, May 21, someone cut a screen, unlocked a window and took a Kenmore vacuum cleaner.
Petty Larceny (Third Offense): 1200 block White Marsh Road, May 21, a suspect entered Rite Aid, placed four packs of Dial soap into a plastic bag and left without paying.
Armed Robbery: 400 block East Washington Street, May 22, a man said he was approached by two male suspects, who took his keys and $23 in cash. The men fled in the complainant's 1986 Dodge Lancer.
Third Offense Larceny: 500 block East Constance Road, May 22, a suspect took 15 packages of Delmonico steaks valued at $80.89.
Grand Larceny Auto: 1100 block Cogic Square, May 22, a man reported that two individuals began shooting at him and several other people seated in a vehicle. When they fled on foot, the suspect got in the vehicle and drove until it ran off the roadway.
Vandalism: 1100 block Cogic Square, May 22, someone broke a window and fired a gun into a bedroom wall and ceiling.
