RUBY G. ASHBURN

{LEAD} Ruby G. Ashburn, 94, of Amelia County, formerly of Mathews, died Tuesday, May 31, 1994.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Van T. Barfoot Jr., James D. Barfoot and Margaret B. Nicholls; six great-grandchildren, Lynne, Van T. III, Daniel, Andrew, Sarah and Melissa; her son-in-law, Col. Van T. Barfoot; two nieces and five nephews. She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Norma Louise Davis Barfoot.

{REST} The remains rest at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment will follow in H.C. Smither Memorial Cemetery, Hudgins. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to your local chapter of the American Heart Association. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, is in charge of arrangements.
