CORNELIA REID KERNS

{LEAD} Cornelia Reid Kerns, member of an old Norfolk family, died in a nursing home in Menlo Park, Calif., on May 16, 1994 in the 101st year of her life.

She was born in Norfolk on December 14, 1893, and was for many years a member of First Presbyterian Church.

{REST} Mrs. Kerns lived in Portsmouth for 40 years, where she was employed by the Naval Shipyard. After retirement she volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

She moved to Atlanta, Ga., and later, to California to be near her daughter, Alice Kerns Grams. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Reid Kerns of Melbourne, Fla., and Thomas Grams and Laura Grams of California.

Memorial donations may be made to Presbyterian Home and Family Services in Lynchburg, Va., or a favorite charity.
