JAMES L. NOWELL JR.

{LEAD} James L. Nowell Jr., 46, of the 800 block of E. Princess Anne Road, a clerk, died June 1, 1994, in DePaul Medical Center.

Mr. Nowell was born in Sunbury, N.C., and was a member of Way of the Cross Church of God in Christ. He was employed with 7-Eleven for three years and was an Army veteran.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Nowell; one daughter, Tanika B. Nowell; two sons, Anthony E. Nowell and James L. Nowell 3rd; two stepsons, Terrance Moore and Delonta Moore; and his mother, Maybelle Dancy, all of Norfolk; three sisters, Sallie Ann Kelly, Mary J. Gordon, both of Norfolk, and Annette Edmonds of Chesapeake; seven brothers, Johnny Dancy, Benjamin Dancy, Raymond Dancy, Anthony Dancy, Tony Dancy, Maurice Dancy and Walter J. Dancy, all of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. Lewis E. Hines. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 800 E. Princess Anne Road, Apt. 52.
