SOME DOWNTOWN STREETS TO BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC

{LEAD} The following Norfolk streets will be temporarily closed to traffic for the grand opening of Nauticus and the 1994 Harborfest celebration:

Waterside Drive - westbound from St. Paul's Boulevard to Boush Street. Boush Street from Waterside Drive to City Hall Avenue will also be temporarily closed. Closure for both these streets will be from 10 a.m. Friday until midnight Sunday.

Waterside Drive - eastbound from Main Street to Atlantic Street. This closure will be from 6 p.m. today to 10 a.m. Friday.

Motorists are also advised that other streets in the central Norfolk business district bounded by Brambleton Avenue, St. Paul's Boulevard and the Elizabeth River may be temporarily closed to traffic and parking as deemed necessary by the Police Department.

These temporary closures can take place any time between 6 p.m. today and midnight Sunday.
