LICENSE SUSPENDED

{LEAD} The license of a model-turned-bail-bondswoman who was convicted last month of attacking a rival bondsman with a stun gun was suspended because she didn't meet the court's collateral requirement.

On Tuesday, Sherry D. Battle's license was suspended ``until sufficient acceptable collateral can be posted,'' said a letter from Chief Circuit Judge John C. Morrison Jr.

{REST} Battle was $135,918 short of the court's $200,000 collateral requirement, court papers said.

On May 3, Battle was convicted in General District Court of disorderly conduct and misdemeanor assault and battery, and sentenced to six months in jail. She is free on bail, pending an appeal to Circuit Court.

Battle, 33, was found guilty of a Jan. 27 confrontation with fellow bondsman Kenneth Roberts in the General District Court lobby, where bondsmen often conduct business.
