Indian River High, the Division A Grand Champion, won $3,000 plus T-shirts for each student who signed a pledge not to drink or take drugs on prom night. The school was also one of three area finalists for the third consecutive year and was awarded an additional $1,000 for this achievement.
{REST} Windsor High, the Division C Grand Champion, won $3,000, T-shirts for participants plus $500 for being an area finalist.
Nandua High was an area finalist and won $750 for its efforts.
Schools are judged based on the percentage of students signing Prom Promise pledges and the school's awareness activities. About 3 million students in 22 states participated including students in 200 Virginia schools. by CNB
