THOMAS T. HERRING SR.

{LEAD} Thomas Trent Herring Sr., 46, of the 3700 block of Pendleton Ave., died May 30, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Herring was born in Richmond, Va., son of the late Cmdr. I.L. Herring and Murton Trent Herring. He was retired from the NOB Police as a lieutenant after 20 years of service. He was a member of Baylake United Methodist Church and was past president of Fraternal Order of Police, Sewells Point Lodge (NU)28, Norfolk.

{REST} Survivors include one son, Thomas Trent Herring Jr.; one brother, Richard Ingram Herring, and his wife, Cheryl M. Herring; and one granddaughter, Brittnie Bowers Herring, all of Virginia Beach; and one aunt, Lois Trent Creech of Raleigh, N.C.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Baylake United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at 3749 Pendleton Ave., Virginia Beach. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge (NU)28, 2328 Dunbarton Court, Chesapeake, Va. 23325, c/o Captain Everett.
