TEEN IN BIKE WRECK DIES

{LEAD} A 15-year-old boy who suffered serious injuries when he rode his bike into the path of an oncoming car Sunday night has died, police said.

Anthony C. Peer of the 3700 block of Kings Mill Walk died about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Virginia Beach General Hospital. He was a sophomore at Princess Anne High School. Peer had been unconscious after suffering serious head injuries.

{REST} Peer was hit just after 6 p.m. Sunday as he tried to cross South Plaza Trail at Loper Lane. The driver of the car was identified as Christina Lowe, 36, of the 1500 block of Fieldstone Place.
