DISBANDING, WITH THANKS

{LEAD} The Virginia Symphony Youth Orchestra is disbanding after several years of exposing young musicians to the professionalism of the Virginia Symphony.

This experience was a tremendous motivator for these students. Not only did they witness the skill and discipline required for a successful performance but they were trained by dedicated professionals who concentrated their efforts on musical perfection as well as integrity and responsibility.

{REST} We truly appreciate the contributions that Assistant Conductor Luke Douglas Sellers and ODU Music Chairman Dennis Zeisler made to progressing these talented youths into a polished group.

We are grateful to the Virginia Symphony for supporting the Youth Orchestra for as long as it did. It is regrettable that the support cannot continue.
