JOSEPH P. BAZEMORE JR.

{LEAD} Joseph Perry ``Joe'' Bazemore Jr., 65, of the 400 block of W. Church St., a retired self-employed farmer, died June 3, 1994, in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.

Mr. Bazemore was born in Northampton County and was a member of Ahoskie First Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Bernice Jenkins Bazemore; and his mother and father, Lina Jones Bazemore and Joseph Perry Bazemore Sr. of Ahoskie.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by Dr. Jesse J. Croom. Burial will be in Ahoskie Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Ahoskie First Baptist Church or to Ahoskie Rescue Squad, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
