CREW WORKS AT PARK

{LEAD} After reading the editorial regarding City Park (May 29, Currents), I felt it would be appropriate to note the work accomplishments of the Sheriff's Office Alternative Work Crew for the year 1993.

Between May and October, program participants visited City Park and spent some some 233 hours assisting in setting up and removing tents; spreading wood chips around the playground area; and picking up trash from the entire park area.

{REST} In addition, the work crew visits the park on almost a daily basis.
