{LEAD} Lindab's grand opening was a grand event for Portsmouth.

Not only did it signal the intentions of the Swedish company to run a good show here. It also gave Portsmouth an opportunity to show itself to representatives of about 50 other companies across the country.

{REST} The visitors seemed impressed. They learned a lot about Portsmouth. Perhaps some of them will spread the word to other industrial companies seeking a good place to locate.

The reputation of Lindab will enhance Portsmouth's name in manufacturing circles. We welcome them to the community.
