Mrs. Kight was born in Princess Anne County and was a self-employed caregiver. She was a member of Charity United Methodist Church for 50 years and the W.W. Dawley Bible class. She was the widow of Melvin Kight.
{REST} Survivors include two daughters, Juanita Kight of Virginia Beach and Naomi Kight of Norfolk; two sons, James Kight and William Kight; a sister, Lucy Murden; and two brothers, Robert Woodhouse and Melvin Woodhouse, all of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many caring friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Charity United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Thomas Reynolds and the Rev. James Higgins. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
