ALICE G. HASSELL

{LEAD} Alice Lee Gilmore Hassell, 64, of the 3500 block of Channel Ave., a retired office manager, died June 4, 1994, in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Hassell was born in Sanford, N.C. She was a member of Western Branch Community Church. She had retired from Churchland Dental Associates in 1993 after 27 years.

{REST} Survivors include her husband, Raymond A. Hassell of Portsmouth; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Hassell and Dawn Hassell, both of Portsmouth; a sister, Amey Mae Whitmore of Portsmouth; two brothers, Sam G. Gilmore and Worth Allen Gilmore, both of Portsmouth; a granddaughter, Megan Hassell of Portsmouth; and a grandson, Travis Hassell of Portsmouth.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Jim Wall. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
