Mrs. Boyer was born April 28, 1918, at Baywood Va. to William Wren and Myrtle Bartlett. She was a member of Longview United Methodist Church and Galax V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was predeceased by a son, Roger Boyer, and two daughters, Cynthia Boyer Mooney and Frances Lee Boyer.
{REST} Survivors include her husband, Paul Boyer of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Ray and Marie Boyer of Roanoke, Rheanie and Carol Boyer of Chesapeake and Danny and Twyla Boyer of Fries, Va.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Tommy Nichols, Betty and Jerry Cook, Alesa and Marty Spurlin, all of Galax and Nancy Obenshain of Roanoke; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Howard Love, Ima Lee and Gary Hanlin and Jo Ella and Bill Edwards, all of Galax, and Rose Osborne of Galax; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Nell Bartlett of Galax and Jerry and Sheila Bartlett of Roanoke and brother-in-law, Raleigh Fields of Galax; 20 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Longview U.M. Church Building Fund, c/o Mrs. Cora Diamond, Route 5, Galax, Va. 24333.
Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Longview U.M. Church, Rev. J.D. Clark will officiate. Interment Monta Vista Gardens. The body will remain at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va., where family will receive friends Monday night from 7 to 9 p.m.
