MRS. LOUISE T. PETERS

{LEAD} Mrs. Mary Louise Thomson Peters, age 69, of 204 South Road Street, Elizabeth City, died Monday, June 6, 1994, at her residence.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, June 10, at 2 p.m. at Old Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. Milton Mann and the Rev. Alex Maultsby officiating. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the East Albemarle Regional Library, The First United Methodist Church of Elizabeth City, The Museum of the Albemarle, or any charitable organization.

{REST} Mrs. Peters was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, the Elizabeth City Historic Neighborhood Association, The First United Methodist Church, Friends of the Library, Museum of the Albemarle, The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the state of North Carolina and the Woman's Auxiliary of Albemarle Hospital. She also volunteered at the Albemarle Food Pantry and the COA ABLE program. She was a graduate of Goldsboro High School, Saint Mary's Junior College in Raleigh, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and attended the Barmore School in New York.

Mrs. Peters was born on November 18, 1924, in Goldsboro and was the daughter of the late Mary Louise Davis Thomson and Julius Faison Thomson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Dr. William Anthony Peters Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Dr. William Anthony Peters III of Seattle, Wash., Faison Thomson Peters of Nags Head, N.C., Dr. Brandon Moseley Peters of Elizabeth City, N.C., Dr. Bryan Maclin Peters of Raleigh, N.C. and McGlemre Powell Peters of Chesapeake; her sister, Elizabeth Moseley Thomson Faison of Chapel Hill, N.C.; her brother, Julius Faison Thomson Jr. of Goldsboro, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
