WALTER E. DOZIER

{LEAD} Walter Edward ``Peck'' Dozier, 84, of East Gibbs Road, died June 7, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mr. Dozier was a retired farmer of Gibbs Woods and a member of Cava Freewill Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Oliver and Sarah Elizabeth Dozier.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Olympia Stewart Dozier; a son-in-law, David M. Dixon of East Gibbs Woods; a sister, Minnie Reed of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Jane Olympia Bradley; and a grandson, David Michael Dixon Jr., both of East Gibbs Woods; one great-grandaughter; and two great-grandsons.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, by Kent Bayne. Burial will follow in Cava Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home and other times at the home of Jane and Sam Bradley, 416 E. Gibbs Road.
