She was a native of Boston, Mass., and had retired from civil service after 30 years as a secretary for the Admiral. She had also worked in private industry for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Norfolk, and was involved in the St. Pius X Senior Citizen's Club. She was also a member of the Tarrallton Senior Citizen Club and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
{REST} She is survived by a sister, Marion Cresswell; three nieces, Karen Mabe of Poquoson, Va., Marilyn Elliott of Wichita Falls, Tex., and Donna Chugg of Virginia Beach; three nephews, Michael Cresswell of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Steven Cresswell of San Diego, Calif., and Richard Cresswell of Wichita Falls, Tex.; eight great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
The funeral will be conducted at 10a.m. Friday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, by Father Joseph Metzger. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling the arrangements. The family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
