Mr. Turner was born in Ocala, Fla. He had served in the U.S. armed forces for 17 years and was a veteran of Desert Storm, Libya, Beirut, Lebanon, Provide Comfort.
{REST} Survivors include his wife, Catherine Catledge Turner; a stepdaughter, Carolann Carter of San Francisco, Calif.; two stepsons, John Ure of San Francisco and James Catledge of Knotts Island; his father, Ashley E. Turner of Missouri; a sister, Lindsey Turner of New Jersey; two brothers, Michael Turner and AMS2 Stephen Turner; two grandchildren, Kristy Ure Carter and Ien Duane Carter, both of San Francisco; and a son-in-law, AE2 Dennis Carter of San Francisco.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations to the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation, 701 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 133, Washington, D.C. 20004. Full military honors will be accorded at graveside.
