She was a native of Carrsville, Va., and worked as a saleslady for J.C. Penney for 15 years. She was also a homemaker and a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church.
{REST} She is survived by her husband, Morris Woodward Pierce; one daughter, Lucy C. Stewart and son-in-law, Marvin R. Stewart, both of Suffolk; one sister, Lucille L. Byrd of Suffolk; one brother, Edward W. Luter of Sunbury, N.C.; one granddaughter, Toni Stewart Camacho; one grandson, Tracey Lee Stewart; one granddaughter-in-law, Lyn P. Stewart; and one great-grandson, Augie A. Camacho, all of Suffolk; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hill Funeral Home, by the Rev. Wayne Gardner. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the funeral home today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23434, or to the charity of one's choice.
