ADELPHIA TEST MARKETS ``FX'' IN PASQUOTANK

{LEAD} Nearly 9,000 county customers of Adelphia Cable woke up to a new channel Wednesday created by the producers of the Fox network.

Adelphia is test marketing ``FX'' on Channel 51 as a premium channel. The company is temporarily offering the service free to Pasquotank County customers who subscribe to more than basic service.

{REST} The channel offers a variety of syndicated reruns and a few hours of original programming each day, cable officials said.
