Mrs. Ashburner was a native of Norfolk, Virginia. She was the widow of Haskin Hobson Ashburner, and was predeceased in death by her sister, Sarah R. White. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, Virginia. Mrs. Ashburner was very active in First Presbyterian Church Sunday School Department for many years. Mrs. Ashburner taught for many years at the West Ghent School in Norfolk.
{REST} Survivors include a daughter, Susan A. Cooper of Silver Spring, Md.; two sons, Charles E. Ashburner of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Robert H. Ashburner of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 11, 1994, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by Dr. J. Sheperd Russell. The family will be at 7608 Atlantic Ave. Virginia Beach, Va. 23451 following graveside services. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
