GERTIE J. GAYLORD

{LEAD} Gertie Jane Gaylord of the 1000 block of Johnston Road, a retired hostess, died June 8, 1994, in DePaul Medical Center.

Mrs. Gaylord was born in Camden County, N.C., the widow of William Gaylord. She was a member of Angelic Church of God in Christ in Norfolk and numerous auxiliaries in the church. She retired from Myers House.

{REST} Survivors include two sons, Clifton Gaylord, William A. Gaylord, Norfolk; a sister, Alberta Williams, Norfolk; six brothers, Elder Melvin Munden, Isiah Munden Jr., Virginia Beach, John Munden, Gilfield, Fla., Floyd Munden, Herbert Munden, Norfolk, Walter Munden, South Mills, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at Angelic Church of God in Christ by Elder Melvin Munden, Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will meet friends at E.A. Hughes Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
