Mr. Dunn was born in New York, N.Y. He retired from the U.S. Navy and also retired as controller of the Norfolk Division of The Dillard Paper Co. He was an active member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and a member of The Oblatets of St. Benedict, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, Fr. J. Nicholas Habet's Council, 4th Degree Assembly (NU)4632 and was an avid golfer of the Swindler Golf Club at Oceana, NAS. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the widower of Elinore Dunn.
{REST} Survivors include four sons, Franklin T. Dunn of Oakton, Va., Michael R. Dunn of Lawrence, Kan., Christopher D. Dunn of New York and Raymond A. Dunn II of Norfolk; a sister, Emma Grega of Centereach, Long Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and a cousin, Anne Lilienthal of Del Ray Beach, Fla.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. A Chalice Service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, at 7 p.m. today where the family will remain until 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Plaza Rescue Squad or St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
