SOO GOON BOW

{LEAD} Soo Goon Bow, 94, of the 6100 block of Hampton Blvd., a retired head chef, died June 4, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Bow was born in Canton, China. He retired from Sai Gai Restaurant in Norfolk and was a member of First Chinese Baptist Church and the Chinese Association of Hampton Roads. He was past president of the Chinese Merchants Association.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Chin S. Soo; a son, Wong Kam Kwok of Hong Kong; a brother, Soo Tow of Norfolk; five grandchildren; two nieces, Yut May Kwong of San Francisco, Calif., and Betty Mae Louie of Tucson, Ariz.; and a nephew, Ban Wong of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Dr. William L. Lumpkin and Mr. Bon Wong. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions made to First Chinese Baptist Church or the Chinese Community Association.
